We want to make residents aware of reports of bogus callers operating on St Margaret’s Road, Knaresborough.
Individuals were seen in a white van, going door‑to‑door and offering unsolicited services. Their behaviour has caused concern, and enquiries are ongoing to identify those involved.
Please remain vigilant
If someone knocks unexpectedly, use a door chain and check who they are before opening the door.
Always ask for identification and take your time to verify their legitimacy by contacting the company directly—do not use numbers provided by the caller.
If in doubt – keep them out Legitimate traders will never mind you taking steps to confirm who they are.
